AFG Fylde and Wyre appeal for raffle donations to support learning disabilities

‘AFG Fylde and Wyre’ is appealing to businesses for raffle prizes to help support local people with learning disabilities. This year, AFG is celebrating 21 years of providing life-enriching support across the North West and in line with this, has unveiled a celebratory programme of local events to mark the anniversary, including a black-tie ‘Promise Ball’ in November, hosted by AFG Fylde and Wyre.

Karen Fitzsimon, Community Service Director of AFG Fylde and Wyre said: “The Promise Ball is to raise funds for several community projects for the people we support, remaining focused to our vision of ‘A world where people control their lives.’ The projects range from person-centred sensory gardens and allotments, craft equipment for the Knit, Natter and Craft group, music and karaoke equipment for social events and a communal Tricycle for people supported in the area.”

“We are appealing to the local business community for raffle donations so that we can raise funds on the night. The Promise Ball will encourage community engagement, raise awareness of AFG and provide networking opportunities to encourage partnership working.”

The event is at 7.00pm onwards on Friday 29 November 2013 at The North Euston Hotel in Fleetwood. Tickets are priced at £25 per head and include a three course meal and entertainment.
