Alternative Futures Group’s Head Office given “Good” rating

Healthcare charity Alternative Futures Group’s Merseyside Registered Office based in its Head Office in Knowsley has received an overall rating of “Good” in a Care Quality Commission (CQC) report.

Alternative Futures Group (AFG) – which this year celebrates its 25th anniversary – provides a range of services across the North West to support adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs.

The Registered Office, based in Kings Business Park, Prescot, was recently put through a routine inspection by CQC.

In the categories of “Safe”, “Effective”, “Caring” and “Responsive”, Lion Court received “Good”. Reporting on its findings, the Report stated:

Care plans provided staff with clear direction and guidance about how to meet people’s individual needs. These were regularly reviewed and updated.

People’s risks were anticipated, identified and monitored. Staff managed risk effectively and supported people’s decisions, so they had as much control and independence as possible.

The overall “Good” rating adds to the other 8 “Good” ratings that AFG has received in recent reports from the CQC for its other Centres across the North West.
