New Acting Chair for AFG
Andrew Paterson, previously an AFG Trustee, has taken on the role of Acting AFG Chairman, following the retirement of Tom Cleator on 29th March.
Andrew will remain in this post until the appointment of a permanent Chairperson.
“I am very pleased to be acting in this role until a permanent Chairperson is appointed. I admire Tom greatly for what he has achieved for AFG and I will give my all to continue in that vein, whilst bringing my own different experience and skills.
I have got to know many of you in my role as Chair of the People and Learning Committee. I am always impressed with the commitment and skills people bring to AFG. I know that stands us in good stead for the challenges ahead. I look forward to those challenges, getting to know more of you as we stay absolutely focused on doing all that we can to support our Service Users.” Andrew Paterson
”I am delighted that Andrew has agreed to take over from me at the end of the month as Acting Chairman. I have had the pleasure of working with him over the last 3 years. He has made significant contributions to AFG, in particular as Chairman of the People and Learning Committee.
He is an enthusiastic supporter of the Service Users and their influencing role in the future direction of the Charity. I wish him well in the work he will undertake on behalf of the AFG.” Tom Cleator
