As Vice Chair my role is to work with the Board and Executive Team to ensure that AFG delivers its charitable objectives, continues to grow and maintains its reputation as a forward thinking organisation.

Alongside my role at AFG I am Head of Service Delivery at Places for People Living+, a national provider of housing, care and support services.

I have worked in the housing, care and support sector for more than 20 years. For most of that period I have been actively involved in the development and delivery of personalised services for people with a wide range of support needs.

For me, personalisation describes an approach where services are designed with and for the people who use them, enabling people to take control of their lives.

I’m a bit of a football fanatic holding a season ticket for Wigan Athletic FC alongside my two young sons.

I also enjoy cycling and I recently cycled the John Muir Way, which runs from the west to east coast of Scotland, with my family to raise money for a cancer charity.

In the rest of my spare time I enjoy films, travelling and socialising with my family and friends.
