A wide range of benefits

Rewarding our staff for their hard work and dedication is important to AFG. Of course, we know that the positive difference our staff make to people’s lives brings its own rewards. However, we know that people often go beyond what is expected of them. So, in addition to competitive salaries and generous annual leave we have a wide range of benefits available to all staff.

Pension Scheme

We operate two pension schemes at AFG and all new staff will be automatically enrolled into one of the schemes depending on their job role. For more information on the scheme please contact our Payroll Team who will be able to advise all employees about what scheme they will be enrolled on to, contributions payable and how they can opt out.

AFG Group Life Scheme

It is difficult to think about what will happen when you die, especially when considering what will happen to your loved ones. As part of the employee benefits package, AFG have a Group Life Scheme (Death in Service) in place, which may provide our employee’s families with a tax free lump sum if they die whilst employed by AFG. This is to assist families with some of the practical and financial issues that arise when someone dies.

Medicash offer affordable healthcare plans that cover a wide range of areas including dental work and other medical treatments.

Employee Assistance

Around the clock, free, confidential advice on a whole host of subjects including (but not limited to) Relationships, Bereavement, Disability & illness, Life Events, Stress, Immigration, Family Issues, Consumer Rights, Debt – and much more.

Tax & National Insurance Schemes

These schemes give staff savings from not having to pay National Insurance or Income Tax on money that is deducted from salary to pay for the bike schemes, the child care schemes or the mobile phone scheme.

Cycle To Work / Cycle Plus Schemes

This scheme helps staff to make huge Tax and National Insurance savings and get fit at the same time by cycling to work on a bike obtained through the scheme.

Childcare Plus & Kids Club Plus Schemes

Childcare Vouchers are a government scheme that give staff a much needed cash boost if they pay for registered or approved childcare such as nurseries, child-minders, nannies and pre-school.

Phone Plus Scheme

Staff can save money on their next mobile phone contract by paying for it through their salary.

Discounts and Offers

AFG staff have access to a huge range of discounts, offers and deals from over 3,000 online and high street retailers. From discounted holidays, to money off your shopping, you can find most deals available on the AFG Benefits website.

Credit Where Credit’s Due

This is an AFG initiative that allows managers to reward individuals or teams for a special effort; going above and beyond what is expected; or doing a particularly excellent piece of work.

Staff receive vouchers that they can spend in a wide range of high-street stores and we encourage teams to share the good news and tell others about these great success stories.
